Library Fundraising Sub-Committee Meeting
Monday, March 9, 2009, 3:00p.m.
Members Present: Helen Rose, Ann Engelman, Rita Gray, Jim Fitzpatrick, John Wilmet, Connie Meyer, Pat Boelter
Chairman Helen Rose called the meeting to order at 3:05 p.m.
Minutes from the December 1st meeting were approved as read. (Engelman/Fitzpatrick)
Foundations and people have been approached for naming rights. They will be letting us know in July as to their ability to help us. More naming rights were identified.
An updated list of Foundations to be approached is needed.
The Fund-raising committee is ready to change and become the capital campaign committee in preparation of starting a public campaign in July. Names were identified in 6 areas. The second Monday in May will be the first meeting.
A motion was made to have Jim Fitzpatrick become the Chairman of the Capital Campaign Committee (Wilmet/Gray)
Grant Requests will require some help.
Pat suggested that collateral support (Bookmarks, giving envelopes, tri-fold brochures, post cards, and a power point presentation) would be helpful.
Next meeting: April 13th at 3:30 p.m.
